Biao Zhang holds a Master’s degree in Physics from Peking University and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He has over 20 years’ experience working in the integrated circuit industry. In 1998, Biao founded Smart ASIC Inc. , 2 years later, the company successfully went public, setting the record for the fastest listing IC design company. Biao was also Founder of Huaya Electronics, Inc. and made the company a world-class service provider in digital video imaging chip design. When Huaya Electronics Inc. was acquired by Kangde Xin and Hisense Group, Biao served as the President of the enterprise group’s 3D business department. The team developed the world’s first naked-eye 3D chip. Biao has won several honors in his career, including the Shanghai Science and Technology Enterprise (Entrepreneur) Innovation Award, the 2009 Chinese Enterprise Innovation Outstanding Person, and he has also been elected to the Shanghai Economic and Information Technology Leading Talent Reserve Training Program.
Sam TsanSenior Partner
Sam Tsang worked for TSMC for 24 years, spending the past 2 decades serving as Senior Sales Manager in TSMC Asia-Pacific, Deputy Director of process at TSMC Songjiang Plant, Customer Service Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, and Module Engineer in TSMC respectively. Sam has in-depth understanding and broad connections in IC industry, including IC design, OEM, packaging and testing.
Thomas TonSenior Partner
Thomas Tong has 30 years’ experience in venture capital in the high-tech and image sensor semiconductor industries, both within China and in Silicon Valley, USA. He has engaged in investment in high-tech industry in Silicon Valley U.S, before moving into a position as General Manager of Beijing Torch Development International Co., Ltd. promoting import substitution plans for the company. The companies he has invested in were either listed or being merged. Thomas has entrepreneurial experience in Taiwan and Boston, USA, mainly in research, development, manufacturing and sales of key chips for image sensors. In 2008, he joined Alchip as General Manager of their international business department, serving clients from North America, Europe, Taiwan and South Korea. Alchip went public in Taiwan in 2014.
Shanshan ShManaging Director (Operation)
Shanshan Shi achieved a Master’s degree of Management from Loughborough University, UK, and a Master’s of Economic Law from Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics. She was the head of the post-investment management team in DT Capital Partners and was responsible for post-investment management of ten funds and hundreds of portfolio companies. These include TMT, Electronic Information, Medicine, High-end Manufacturing and New Energy. Shanshan has successfully assisted nearly 20 portfolio companies exit through listing, merge and acquisition, equity transfer or repurchase. Prior to that, Shanshan served as Investment Manager in CTC Capital. The investments she has led included Technovator Int’l (HK: 01206), OCJ (600637) and Cambricon Technologies. She also served as Director/Supervisor in many companies with extensive experience in investment, management and fund operations.
Dennis LanPartner
Dennis Lan received a Master’s of Electrical Engineering from Sun Yat-sen University. He has more than ten years’ experience in IC R&D and marketing. He was responsible for PMIC design at Global Mixed-Mode Technology, successfully designed and mass-produced more than ten chips, and entered the Nokia mobile phone supply chain. He was responsible for the design of WiFi and BLE SOC PMU in iCommsemi. Since 2013, Dennis has created PM, a technical support team, and been responsible for marketing and the ecological chain, successfully led well-known customers such as operators, Midea, and Alibaba, and has sold more than one million chips per month. His investment projects include Nanjing Best Compound Semiconductor and Erised Semiconductor.

Hao Li has over 20 years’ experience in the financial industry, now overseeing general management in CTC with her expertise in human resources and administration. Prior to joining CTC, Hao has played several key roles in venture capitals, including Walsin (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Pacific Venture Partners, Oriza Prior, and Oriza Seed, etc. Hao is familiar with management and operation models in foreign-invested companies, specializes in resource allocation and general management in VC firm.

Jiangting Pan received a Master’s degree in Laws from the East China University of Political Science and Law. Before joining CTC Capital, she worked as a Practicing Lawyer of Grandall Law (Shanghai) Firm, assisted companies in reformation, restructuring and listing. She was also responsible for the establishment of private equity funds and investment. Jiangting has served as Perennial Legal Advisor for dozens companies, and has broad knowledge and extensive experience in China’s domestic capital market, private equity funds and corporate investment, as well as financing and legal advisory services.

Lei Wang used to work in the Investment Department of a well-recognized group company, overseeing the financial management of its overseas subsidiaries. Prior to that, she served as a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young. Lei has extensive project experience in A-shares IPO audits and is proficient in Chinese accounting standards and financial risk control processes.

Zhang holds a Master’s degree in Microelectronics from Tsinghua University. He served as an industry consultant for the Tianjin Integrated Circuit Association and a mentor for the Tsinghua Alumni Entrepreneurship Competition. With over a decade of experience in chip development and management, Zhang has previously served as the R&D Department Manager at Ziguang Guowei, where he led a team to successfully mass-produce multiple chips with a shipment volume of over one billion units. He has gone through the entire process of a chip company, from its startup phase to its listing. Yinxuan YangSenior Investment Manager
Yinxuan Yang holds a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science from Tsinghua University and a Ph.D. from Brown University in the United States.
